Positives:
*This is a solid figure with decent articulation. You shouldn't worry about him being breakable or non-poseable.
*The paintjob on this figure is much better than the all black armor of the Drak Knight version. It actually features some more movie accurate greys mixed in.
*The Batsignal piece is necessary for building the Batsignal, and I think anyone who collects these is going to want that. I've put three pieces together so far and the thing is really nice and larger than In expected. It seems like it will be nicely in scale with the figures (or any DC figures in the 6-8 inch range).

Yes, this mold was introduced for the Dark Knight Movie Masters line in 2008, and has been re-packaged multiple times since, but keep two things in mind: 1) The suit in Dark Knight Rises is exactly the same as the one in Dark Knight.
2) The original sculpt is still amazing, even by today's standards (not that sculpting/toy construction has progressed THAT much in four years).
CONCLUSIONS
1) If you don't own any Batmans, this is an excellent first figure to own. Better than any movie masters version and up there with many other versions such as the 10 wave imperex, arkham asylum, and others as the best Batmans. It is a bit smaller than the others, but the Dark Knight version is awesome.
2) Collectors Must OWN. If you are a collector, money is not an issue (and price isn't that high), this is a must own, just as the original version from Batman Begins. Period.
3) For kids, this is an excellent action figure. It is durable, and it has some of the best articulation, if not the best.
4) If you do own other Batmans from movie masters, and you carefully manage the Bat figure fund, look at the Wave 10 Imperex version, the Arkham Asylum versions, Batman and Son DC Direct versions, they are larger, very different from this version, and very nice too.
